![]() ![]() Why would u not promote ur own trip? It was obvious they didnt want to take just us 2 out. We did this and he then called me a liar and said because i didnt come back at 830am to pay they didnt promote there trip. We asked if we needed to pay and he said no that we could sign the contract and come back the next day at 150pm to pay and all good. Ok thats disappointing but made another reservation for the next day for the 2pm snorkle trip. Arrived the first day and went to make them and every single one was suddenly not available. Contacted 2 weeks in advance and made sure to plan my excursions to there schedule. Now we want to get certified to do more diving.Ī horrible experience. The icing on the cake was getting to see a sea turtle. We saw a lion and a puffer fish amongst several other bright and colorful fish. Scuba diving is like swimming in a giant salt water aquarium but you never know what your going to see. We stayed very close to the resort and could always see land from the boat. After about a 1 hour course in the hotel pool we were on the boat for our first two dives. I’ve also been a little skeptical about doing this at a Mexican resort but he put all my anxieties and fears away. ![]() He was very informative and patient in teaching us everything we needed to know about our first diving experience. Kevin, the certified scuba instructor was amazing. If you even have the slightest interest in learning to scuba dive I highly recommend this activity. Saving the best for last…PADI course and scuba diving. I wrote a Trip Advisor review for this adventure company so be sure to check it out for more details. A combo of a few activities that didn’t consume our entire day. The tour was fun and exactly what we were looking for. Plus, I may have had to arrange for my own transport to the Extreme Adventures pick-up location so it may have been the same cost. I may have been able to book this excursion directly from Extreme Adventures for cheaper but Barrakuda did all the work for me. It did include a transport to the Extreme Adventures Eco-Park. Nice part is the parachute process shade for your sky-high experience.īarrakuda in the “middle man” for booking the ATV/cenote/zip lining tour. The staff transports you on a jet ski to the boat that comes by to pick you up right off the beach. We did parasailing, ATV/cenote/zip line combo and PADI scuba dive course and dives.īring CASH for parasailing. We booked 3 excursions through Barrakuda right by the main pool at VIRM. Save your money ($50 for the photos) and don’t buy the photos because all of them will be murky and hard to see. We have gone on multiple excursions, multiple places and are easy to please people but over all we would not recommend this excursion. Now on to the pros they gave out some snacks on the bus, the Cenotes were beautiful and clear, and the excursion was only a half day. Another con was that we weren’t allowed to put on sunscreen in the bus, this was the first excursion we’ve been on that hasn’t allowed this (this wasn’t a deal breaker just kind of annoying), another con was the staff was not the friendliest or very informative, it was very obvious that they were in a rush and stressed out trying to get everyone’s pics taken. I didn’t mind this bc I know everyone wants a pic with the turtle but there was never a moment to just stop and gaze at the turtles (which we saw about 3), the entire time everything felt so rushed and I was so sad because this has always been a bucket list dream for me. When we finally did see a sea turtle we were instructed to get close to the turtle, have our pictures taken and then move out of the way for the next person. ![]() I will start off with the cons, the water was very murky and almost impossible to see any wild life in the water. I will start off with saying that my husband and I were very excited about booking this excursion because we read so many great reviews but sadly we did not have a great experience. ![]()
